San Juan Scenery

For many years, a friend spent a week, each summer, on a houseboat. She and her guests enjoyed the relaxation and beautiful scenery of Lake Powell. One of their main activities was hiking trails that led them to one-of-a-kind vistas. On one such hike, my friend snapped a photo of the San Juan River, just ahead of an approaching rain shower. I was thrilled when she later commissioned me to interpret that photo in fabric.
