Not sure if you and your computer are up to online learning? Learn more, below.
The Basics
Basic
computer skills needed: Click, highlight, send
and receive email.
Recommended computer
skills. (Required for some classes:) The
ability to take digital photos, store them in your computer, access
them, and resize them. There's a tutorial
on
resizing, including a link to free editing software, at Resizing Photos.
Computer software needed: Adobe Acrobat Reader; which is free and downloadable software. Get it here.
Classroom Discussions
Classroom discussions, as well as Show and Tell take place in the class forum. The process is relatively easy. To learn about it, go to Using a Forum.
Sharing Photos
What's a class without Show and Tell? Thankfully, showing your progress is easy to do with these classes. As part of the Yahoo forum group, you'll be able to create your own photo album. You can easily post your photos there, and all your classmates will be able to see them.
NOTE from Ellen Lindner: Computer applications are the most challenging part of online learning. Although most students have no problem with this, a few find it to be quite an obstacle. This is why I offer a 6 Day Money Back Guarantee.
Here's how it works. You have six days to try any class. That's six whole days to learn from the first lesson, experiment with the forum, and decide whether or not you want to continue. If you are at all hesitant about your computer skills, you should try every feature during those six days. If you decide to unenroll, contact me and I will give you a full refund!Defining six days: The first lesson is posted by noon on a Friday, EASTERN TIME, U.S. (That's either 4 or 5 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time, depending on whether the U.S. is using Standard Time or Daylight Savings Time.) You have until noon the following Thursday to request a refund. The posted time of your email is used as the reference.
